Review:
For years I have been buying both running and walking shoes, but always end up with pain along the outside edge of my right foot (I'm heavy, under-pronate and have a high arch). Just last week, I walked into the New Balance store wearing a brand new pair of 993's, and was still in pain while researching the idea of purchasing the new 2002 model running shoes. Yesterday, I received my new shoes and put them on, and went walking. NO PAIN! The cushioning is like a pillow under my feet! The fit is wonderful and the craftsmanship is superior (as you would expect for a $249.00 pair of running shoes), and the shoe looks like a work of art. In my case, the money I save by not needing to purchase custom made orthotics (which was my next step), pays for the price of the shoes. Money well spent for my situation. I am getting ready to purchase a second pair so I can rotate them daily. If your in the market for a neutral cushioned running shoe, this model might be worth considering.
